Find two ways out of each room and keep exits clear. Decide which adult will help babies, young children, or anyone who needs assistance. Practice together.
Meet outside
Choose one safe outdoor meeting place. In a fire, get out, stay out, and call 911 from outside. Never go back inside for belongings.

Draw your family’s outdoor meeting place with your child. Practice your escape plan at home, then bring the drawing to share with your teacher at pickup or drop off. Add a thank you picture for our firefighters if you like!
